Hello all! What a busy year it has been already? Can you believe we have already made it to February? This afternoon I am excited to bring you a design that my team has been working on while we have waited for the website to launch. The cloffice project was the first project I presented to my interns to give them a little taste of what it’s like to be an online interior designer. I know you are probably asking “what is a cloffice?”, well good news! We are going to be walking you through what a cloffice is and how you can implement this new room into your own home.
A cloffice is a designated space that was formerly a closet – which has been transformed into an office. Working from home can be interesting sometimes. Just yesterday I heard about an attorney streaming a proceeding in virtual court with a Zoom filter that made him look like a cat! Can you relate? Finding a place to work is probably one of the main problems we face as women working from home. This can, especially if you live in a small home. What is needed is a private, secure space where you can do your best work.
Cloffice’s are a new revolution all across Pinterest. It’s the idea of creating a designated space that was formerly a closet and transforming it into an office. But not only transforming it into a workspace, transforming it into a place that is comfortable and beautiful. All you need is some under-used space to turn into a spot where anyone working from home can use. With the right desk and accessories, this space can provide you with the organization you need and the esthetic you love.
How did we transform a closet to office (cloffice)? As with any office space, you first need a desk. When going shopping for this cloffice we wanted to keep it low budget. The team collaborated on this desk verses a simple work surface and the desk won– just take a look at this beauty and the storage space it provides. We wanted a chair with style and comfort and this one checked off the boxes. The decor is what completes the vision and all within the budget! Our budget for this project was $1200, doesn’t seem like a lot? You’ll be surprised at what all you can get on a budget. Sign up for the shopping list here. For Styling, we kept everything neutral and fresh. Having a serene and calm area to work can help you get more done during the day.
