Hello all, as I write this, it’s the first week of 2021. Oddly enough, it is warm outside. The warm weather and bright sunshine make me feel refreshed and renewed for the new year! We have big plans here at Lauren Ashley Design and I hope you will subscribe to tag along for the ride. Let’s get to our picks for my favorite office designs from my favorite designers on Instagram.
If you follow me on Pinterest, you’ll know that I am a big fan of the modern traditional/European look. This classic design is a mix of traditional materials such as brass, light ivories, dark wood, and textural fabrics, mixing them with modern (borderline mid-century) style furniture and decor. You’ll also consistently find earth tones utilized in this style.
As I have expressed in many of my previous blog posts, I believe that this design style will outlast other trends that have come and gone. Farmhouse style and grey walls as an example! This style, for now, matches our lifestyle. The clean lines matched with warm tones/textures and paired with some eclectic accents make this style safe yet permits us to play around some.
Today, I have chosen some of my favorite offices. These offices are yet functional and beautiful for the new at-home worker. Please join me as we take a look!
it has such a masculine tone to it with the brass chandelier adding just the right amount of feminine touch. Also, open shelving in an office is one of my favorite looks in an office if you can swing it. Sometimes you need additional storage. That is when a wall-to-wall builtin is necessary. However, to keep a small room open, open shelving is ideal.
This small desk nook is perfect for those if you don’t have room for an entire office. The desk inspired by mid-century design has a minimalistic design. This design will blend seamlessly with a multitude of styles. The cane drawers give the desk a lightweight feel.
THIS DESK Y’ALL! Can we take a few moments for this desk? If I could put this desk in all of my office projects, I would. The style of this desk is so unique because it has intricate carving for a uniquely textured look. The pairing of this desk with brass accents and the earth tones throughout; makes for such a minimalistic comforting space. Just what you need in an office, something that feels warm, cozy, yet clean.
More for the work-at-home mom; that needs an away space, somewhere to pay the bills or write a quick paper. Whether you live in a small apartment or a large home occupied by many children, a space like this would be perfect for you. Or to get something done! I run my entire business right next to my bed on my little stand-up desk, would not have it any other way.
